De Song is a korean restaurant in Frankfurt Hoechst (Germany that is!). We called our little rock band of three after that restaurant because it lies half way between our rehearsal room and the shop where we get cigarettes, coke and beer. This is my best attempt to explain why we choose that name, if you do not understand, neither do I, but it sounds and we have a nice logo...
Oliver Grothe (bass) / Anand Kumar (vox/git) / Frank Ludwig (drums) / Andy Nealen (ex-git, link)
Anand now plays with An Cat Dubh, too.

We wish you the most pleasant family pow-wows on Christmas!

I don't know what Father Christmas has in store for me, so I decided to take my fate in my own hands and bought a little Christmas present for me. Hopefully it's going to give some momentum to the recording efforts.
It's no secret, that I love Powertrios most of all line-ups, but that was before I knew our new guitar player Helge!
Welcome aboard! More of him in 2005...

Oli and I are still trying to grasp the essence of Steinberg's Cubase software. We have produced the demo of one new song (having another 5 in the pipeline), but the mix sounds like interference on a mobile while calling from Mars. You will have to be veeery patient to ever hear this (I have a slow learning curve!).
If you recently won in a lottery, please contact us for a donation, since our studio hardware wishlist sums up to approximately 5000 Euro by now.

By the way: I updated the links.

Desong wishes everybody a happy and prosperous new year.

Since we have to arrange our new demo songs without a 'real' drummer with Frank hanging out in asia for a couple of months more, the production proceeds quite slowly at the moment. We never realized that Frank played such complicated rhythms on his drums! :)
